some of us have a signature scent, tried and true that we spray on every single morning. others have an entire area of their vanity dedicated to a diverse collection of perfumes.
this fall, we’re wearing coco noir, the newest fragrance from chanel.
with base notes of vanilla, musk, patchouli and sandalwood, it also has light hits of bergamot and grapefruit so it doesn’t feel heavy. the in-house chanel perfumer, jacques polge visited the late coco chanel’s apartment and used it for inspiration when creating noir. he combined the essence of her luxurious interior design style on rue cambon with the mysterious, magical feeling one gets when the sun goes down in the city of venice.
creating noir was in a sense, a way to keep coco’s spirit alive. we’ll spritz to that.
